ELMER TAYLOR JR.

Elmer J. Taylor Jr., 80, of Grandview, Mo., died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Saint Joseph Medical center. He was born on October 23, 1941, to Elmer Sr., and Arnette H. Taylor in Kansas City, Mo.

He grew up in the old 54th Street neighborhood. He attended Paseo High school, after which he enlisted in the United States Army on November 6, 1960. He was proud to serve his country in the military. He often reminisced about his time spent in Germany during his tour.

After returning to civilian life, he began his career at General Motors. He retired from there after 30 years of service. He then went to work for the Kansas City Public School district and retired after 15 years of service.

He met and married

Alfonso C. Evans Jr., 62, of Kansas City, Mo., died on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the North Kansas City hospital.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC., 2800 East 18th Street, Kansas City, Mo.
