For years Hollywood has been reporting and highlight Pam Grier as both a unique and diverse actor / disrupter who has paved the way for other black female actors.

She admittedly states she does “not have to be told” that she’s a game changer. She told Yahoo Entertainment that she has lived it. Just this year she was explained to be the barrier shattered to Hollywood. Pam was delighted to know that movies like Foxy Brown and Jackie Brown would be received so genuinely.

There is good reason Ms. Grier has taken such a humble backseat to her careers accomplishments, wanting her career to speak for itself. Entering the movie. She began filming in the late 1060’s as the breakout star of several Roger Corman B-movies. Born in North Caroline army child, was fortunate to have a take off career during the Blaxploitation era. Movies like Coffy, Friday Foster, and Sheba, shot up the box office charts. Back in the 70’s Grier was Hollywood’s leading Black female action star, and attracted attend off camera too. She was formidable on and off the screen having love affairs with Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Freddie Prinze, and Richard Pryor. Most are unaware that Ms. Grier has a love for philanthropy, through environmentalism, and education. She’s received honorary doctorates from prominent universities for her work in founding community gardens and ranch riding programs that support the care of autistic children that call her Auntie. Pam agrees that she has had an eventful life story. One that she now narrates herself in the latest season of TCM’s popular documents podcast. The Plot Thickens. During the podcast series she talks about the important of shaking things up and offering the world non traditional images. She Grier wrapped up her interview stating that it has always been her responsibility to give boice to a silent community, emphasizing that the community she speaks of is not necessarily speaking of the Black community but to the community of women as historically marginalized in and outside of Hollywood before she broke through.
