MABEL KING

Mabel King died on April 24,2023 surrounded by her loving family in Topeka, Kas.

She was born on May 7, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo., to the union of Beulah Boyer and Louis Bell Sr.

Mrs. King was a nurse for over 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, photography, Hot Air Balloon Festivals and many other social activities.

She was a breast cancer survivor of 22 years. She enjoyed learning, never watched a movie more than once.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Robin Bornemann (Chris); son, Robert Murphy Jr., Samuel King Jr.; great aunts, Viola Fern Pettis, Shirley Ikerd; grandchildren, Angel Roman-Murphy, Aida Munoz-Murphy, Shade Bornemann, Tyron Williams Jr.; great grandchildren: Nelonne, Alusky Jr., James III, Maurice II; great great grandchild, Alusky III; and a host of relatives and close friends.

Service held at 2 p.m. at the Mount Hope Chapel and cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kas. Visitation 1 to 2 p.m. Interment,: Mt. Hope cemetery, Topeka, Kas.
